Servicing Ottawa Pianos Since 2005

I have been tuning and repairing pianos since 2005, when I was given a piano from a family member and fell in love with it. As a trained audio engineer, I was immediately captivated by the complex, harmonic sound of the instrument, which seemed so simple at first glance but is just so beautifully engineered in actual fact. I hired a piano tuner to service the piano and watched the whole tuning process unfold. I was fascinated, and began the journey of becoming a piano technician!

15 years and thousands of pianos later, I’m still struck by the incredible presence the piano has in my life. I am still in awe of the design heritage all modern pianos enjoy, and which hasn’t been substantially improved in over 100 years. Truly, the king of instruments.

Sound is my entire life. I went to college for audio engineering. I’ve been a musician since I was 15 years old. I’ve spent countless hours on stage or in a recording studio, and I continue to work on audio production for artists from around the world. Music is my life-long passion and I am incredibly fortunate to find myself working exclusively with sound for a living.

I am passionate about other things as well. When the ears need a break, I can be found in meditation, or exploring the beauty of nature from my mountain bike, kayak or tent.

I’m also a husband and father and so incredibly proud of both. Family is very important to me, and is a continual source of incredible joy and learning!
